Bridging the Gap Between
Boardroom Logic and The Sharp End

At Clarity& we believe that the ultimate constraint on aviation safety, sustainability, productivity and margin is the cognitive and physical threshold of the human beings running the operation.

For decades the industry has successfully engineered technical risk out of the aircraft. Yet today ground safety incidents and severe injuries persist, turnaround windows are contracting and frontline staff are burning out.

The industry frequently labels these issues as human factors; perhaps too difficult to address as it is put down to individual temperament, attitude or a lack of skill or supervision.

Human variability and error are rarely root causes; rather they are symptoms arising from an overloaded, fractioned system design.

When compressed schedules collide with a blame-based culture, cutting corners or staying quiet is not a personal failure of the worker. It’s an adaptive survival mechanism, forced by a system that makes the threat of a late penalty immediate, while treating physical safety as an abstract risk.

When competing priority operational demands consistently outpace human capacity, the human brain enters a state of survival.

Working memory fails, situational awareness drops, and physical injuries rise.

We didn't learn this equation from a textbook. We lived it.

Partners in Life, Business, and Operational Reality

Clarity& was founded by Kirsty and Andy Dobson - partners in life and business. Together, we combine decades of high-stakes leadership experience to look at your operation with complete objectivity and strategic depth.

Meet the Founders

Kirsty Dobson Co-founder

The History: 25 years of senior NHS leadership and clinical governance, managing frontline healthcare delivery through national crises. Kirsty understands the exact mechanics of high-pressure operational environments where human capacity directly dictates error probability and safety outcomes.

The Mission: Recognising that ‘soft’ corporate wellbeing initiatives fail to address systemic operational strain and prevent burnout, Kirsty co-founded Clarity& to embed resilience as a rigorous safety function. She bridges clinical governance, neuroscience, and human factors to build preventative, data-driven frameworks that eliminate operational drift and protect executive focus under pressure.

Andy Dobson Co-founder

The History: 30+ years in senior accountable aviation leadership across British Airways, easyJet, and Wizz Air. Andy has lived the relentless pressures of turnaround times, network constraints, and high-consequence operations.

The Mission: Having experienced firsthand the cost of operating at the absolute limit, Andy co-founded Clarity& to fix systemic human-factor risks upstream. He translates complex operational data and roster design into practical, preventative frameworks that protect both safety margins and frontline capability.

Our Core Pillars of Action

We don't do traditional classroom-based training, and we don't offer generic wellbeing packages destined to be underutilised by the staff who need it most.

We embed ourselves where the work is done to listen, to learn and to coproduce sustainable human performance solutions:

  • The Resilience Review: We audit your existing data streams to understand exactly where process deficiencies are draining your people and your profit.

  • Human-SOP™ Integration: We co-design and embed rapid, 30-to-90-second neurological and somatic resets directly into standard operating procedures. These tools lower both mental error rates and physical injuries in high-stress, emotionally heavy environments.

  • The Mind-Body Mandate: We know that a damaged body means a damaged mind. By optimising workflows for human biomechanics and cognitive readiness, we protect your people from physical strains, slips, and exhaustion, which directly drives down absenteeism, Lost Time to Injury (LTIs) and turnover.

Why We Do It: Beyond Compliance

We work with progressive airlines, airports, and cargo handlers who realise that stress is a measurable operational friction that eats safety and profit margins.

We are here to prove that protecting the cognitive bandwidth, health, and dignity of the worker is the single most effective way to sustain operational reliability, drop incident rates, and protect your bottom line.
